BIG BEAR LAKE, Ca – Civil Air Patrol Major Henry “Hank” Peralez will assume the

 

duties of commanding officer of Big Bear Composite Squadron 6750 at a change of

 

command ceremony and dinner on Sunday, December 7th at Camp Oaks near Lake

 

Williams. The public is invited to attend the dinner and ceremony, which begins at 4:00

 

P.M.  Dress is coat and tie or military dress where appropriate.  Cost is $15.00 per person

 

and reservations must be in by November 24th.  The meal will be family style, with

 

chicken, beef, vegetables, coffee and tea.  Cake will be served to commemorate the 13th

 

year of the Big Bear squadron.  Reservations can be made by calling Bill Hartmann at

 

584-9622.

 

     Civil Air Patrol is a volunteer, non-profit organization and is, by law, an auxiliary of

 

the United States Air Force. The primary missions of Civil Air Patrol are an aerospace

 

education program, a cadet program, and an emergency services program.  In recent

 

years, counter-drug operations and homeland defense have been added to the duties

 

performed by CAP.  The Big Bear squadron, consisting of 27 senior members and 15

 

cadets, is one of over 1,700 units nationwide that participate in these goals.
